  • Cafe Supervisor

    CAFÉ SUPERVISOR
    16 Hours per week
    Core working hours between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm across 6 days per week
    £8.33 per hour

    We are looking for a Cafe Supervisor to join the team at our Shop on Regent Street, Wrexham in January 2020. Hours are part time and will be discussed fully at interview.

    The Cafe will be at the heart of our hospice superstore and community and the Supervisor will be key to providing a warm welcome and fantastic customer service to all users of the cafe.

    Key responsibilities include:-
    To set up and manage the cafe each day
    To ensure that the cafe is presented to the highest standards and provides excellent customer service
    Responsibilities including opening up and closing down.
    To oversee and lead the front of house volunteers
    The delivery of Hot and Cold Beverages, grab and go snacks and meals

    We are looking for someone who has:-

    • Excellent teamwork, communication and leadership skills
    • A passion for coffee and food
    • Experience of working in a busy cafe/coffee shop
    • Experience in opening and closing a cafe
    • Passion for continuously improving the cafe they work in

    You must be a leader and a person who deals well under pressure and can multi task to ensure your team is working to the standard expected.

    • Speciality Doctor

      Speciality Doctor- NIGHTINGALE HOUSE HOSPICE
      Temporary post for 4 months
      Location – Nightingale House Hospice Wrexham
      Sessions – 10 per week, but would consider part time
      Pay band – Speciality Doctor Post Foundation Training

      The post would be ideal for someone keen to increase their palliative care experience or working to apply in the future for specialist training.

      Nightingale House Hospice is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join their well established and dedicated Medical/ANP team, to cover for colleague’s temporary absence.

      Nightingale House Hospice provide specialist Palliative care to people living with life limiting illness.

      Services are provided free of charge to people over the age of 18 years within the catchment area of North East Wales and Border areas.
      Services provided by Nightingale House Hospice include a 12 bed inpatient unit, a weekly medical outpatient clinic, specialist day services, access to the FST and Rehabilitation Team, ensuring that the needs of the patients and their carers are met using a multidisciplinary approach.

      • Part Time Store Manager

        PART-TIME CHARITY STORE MANAGER
        20 hours per week
        £16,557 FTE – actual salary is £8,830 per annum

        We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time store manager to join our dynamic and forward thinking retail team. Reporting to the Retail Operations Area Manager this position is based at our Rhos store.

        With an eye for detail and taking a hands on approach, you will need to be commercially aware, driven and well organised. You will also have the passion and leadership skills to motivate a team of volunteers in order to maximise profits and help us raise the funds we need to run the hospice.

        We are looking for someone who can deliver high standards of presentation and merchandising and who enjoys being on the shop floor and driving sales through great customer service.

        • Corporate Partnerships Manager

          FULL TIME

          Nightingale House Hospice, Wrexham
          Contracted Hours: 37 Hours
          Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 depending on experience

          Nightingale House Hospice is looking for a new Corporate Partnerships Manager to join the Fundraising team. This role is responsible for developing and implementing the corporate partnerships strategy and deputising for the Head of Fundraising.

          We are ideally looking for a professional with at least two years’ experience in one or more of the following fields; fundraising, marketing, sales or similar with at least 12 months experience with managing a team.

          Above all, the role requires experience with relationship management combined with a proven track record of achieving financial targets.

          Ideally the successful candidate should have;

          • Experience working in the charity sector
            Experience working towards financial targets
          • Exceptionally organised with good time management skills
          • The ability to empathise and build excellent relationships
          • Excellent verbal, written and listening skills

          Key Responsibilities

          • Managing the Corporate Strategy
          • Establishing new corporate partnerships and developing existing corporate partnerships
          • Managing a small team within the Fundraising Department
          • Deputise for the Head of Fundraising
          • Responsible for a personal financial target set by the Head of Fundraising
          • Responsible for working with the Head of Fundraising to set the annual budget and individual financial targets

            Medical

            A questionnaire will be sent to the successful candidate. This must be completed and forwarded to Occupational Health. The candidate must be declared fit before commencing employment.

            Qualifications/Professional Registration

            Appointments are offered subject to the successful candidate providing evidence of professional qualification(s) and continuing professional registration.

            References

            All offers of employment are subject to the receipt of two references that are satisfactory to the Hospice.

            Contract – Notice Period    

            1 week’s notice is required, from either party, during the probationary period and 4 weeks thereafter.

            Probationary Period

            Appointments for all staff are subject to a 3 or 6 month probationary period depending on the role.

            Pension         

            The Hospice operates a pension scheme through NOW pensions who will contact you regarding the scheme and eligibility once you are in post. If you are currently in the NHS pension scheme please discuss this with HR on commencement.

            Life Insurance Cover

            Death in Service Life Insurance Cover equivalent to two times basic salary for all eligible staff who are not covered by the NHS Superannuation Scheme.

            Holidays        

            Holiday entitlement is 25 days per year plus 8 Bank Holidays for full time staff, (pro rata for part time hours). This increases to a maximum of 32 days plus Bank Holidays after 10 years service, subject to Holiday policy.

            Sick Pay        

            In the first year of service – up to 5 contractual sick days then SSP

            In the second year of service – up to 10 contractual sick days then SSP.

            After two years’ employment – up to 13 weeks full pay and 13 weeks half  pay in any rolling year

            After 5 years’ employment – up to 26 weeks full pay and 26 weeks half pay in any rolling year

            Pro rata for part time staff. The above is subject to the sickness absence procedures being followed.

            Bank Holiday           

            Time worked on a Bank holiday is paid at time and a half. This payment is only for staff who are required to work on the Bank Holiday e.g. Inpatients, Kitchen, Housekeeping.

            Staff Dining Room

            Excellent catering facilities which offer hot meals, snacks and sandwiches at lunch time.
