The Midnight Walk 2024

Our flagship event; The Midnight Walk will be returning on Saturday 29th June 2024.

Beginning at Llwyn Isaf, supporters across the community will join forces to help raise much needed funds for Nightingale House Hospice.

Registration will be open from 9pm. With live performances and activities taking place on Llwyn Isaf to keep you entertained while we wait for the clock to strike midnight!

We will be joined by local food vendors so you can purchase some tasty pre-walk treats, and the legendary bunny ears will be making their return along with some brand-new glow merchandise to help you stand out.

Based on feedback provided from last years event, this year we are pleased to announce their will be two routes to choose from. A 5k or 10K option!

• Your iconic Midnight Walk T-shirt
• Fabulous event atmosphere with live music and entertainment
• Hot Drink and tasty breakfast bar on completion of your walk

Your sponsorship can make a MASSIVE difference! Did you know…

– £60 will help pay for three 60 minute Aromatherapy sessions for a patient
– £160 will help pay for twenty memory boxes for our Children’s Bereavement service
– £218 will help pay for one day of Music Therapy

Every penny you raise by taking part in this event will help us to continue to provide the patient care and family support services at Nightingale House Hospice. We will help you along your fundraising journey by providing support and ideas throughout!

Can we register as a group?

If you would like to sign up as a group of more than 10 people please call us on 01978 314 292.

Can children take part?

All entrants must be 12 or over on the day of the event. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a registered adult.

How long does it take? 

You can complete the walk at entirely at your own pace. On average it can take around 45 minutes for an individual to walk 5k and around 90 minutes to walk 10K. However, it all depends on the speed you are walking, there is no rush! 

What’s the Dress Code? 

The brighter the better! 

Although there is no official dress code for the Midnight Walk, we do encourage supporters to wear bright colours. However, the most important thing is raising funds and promoting the hospice services, so whatever you decide to wear we are grateful for your support. 

Do I have to raise sponsorship?

Nightingale House Hospice reply on donations and community support. In 2023 alone it will cost over 4 million to run our hospice services. We encourage all our Midnight Walkers to raise as much sponsorship as possible. What’s the route like?  

Both the 5K and 10K routes are along flat surfaces and are wheelchair friendly. However, like any challenge the walk does require some preparation.  You can decide which route to take on the night, you do not have to commit right now.
