Get involved in the award-winning marathon set in the historic Roman Medieval destination, the great city of Chester.
The event organisers pride themselves on being runners themselves and have designed a route that spans the largely flat stunning city as well as the beautiful countryside. Combine this fast route combined with enthusiastic support from the ever so friendly locals and hydration/refreshment stations and it makes an unforgettable event. Alongside your charity, the event organisers offer support in the form of monthly training sessions & seminars.
The Chester Marathon is famous for being an enjoyable event and has won many awards over the years including the Runner’s World best marathon of the year and sweatshop’s best mass participation award.
Nightingale House Hospice is based in Wrexham and provides specialist palliative care services for those living with life-limiting illnesses. Our services are completely free of charge to patients and their families across our catchment area stretching from Wrexham, Flintshire and East Denbighshire to Barmouth and the border towns including Oswestry and Whitchurch.
Our vision has always been to provide excellent, personalised, and compassionate care for our patients and support for their families and loved ones too.
Our care goes well beyond the medical, with our wellbeing programmes teaching patients new skills such as woodwork, music, art and relaxation, and our family support services helping parents and children to talk, share and just be a family again.
In 2025, it will cost us £5,603,094 to provide our current services, that’s £15,351 per day just to open our doors. Our hospice care is integral within our local community, but it is only thanks to our wonderful and generous supporters that we are able to keep being a support year after year.
