Pupils can run, walk, skip, hop or wheel their way around a course of your choice while raising sponsorship for Nightingale House Hospice.

What is the Rudolph Run?
The Rudolph Run is a fun, festive fundraising event for schools. Pupils can run, walk, skip or hop  around a course of your choice while raising sponsorship to support Nightingale House Hospice. 

Who can take part?
The Rudolph Run is suitable for pupils of all ages and abilities. Schools can adapt the event to suit their pupils and available space. 

When can we hold our Rudolph Run?
You can choose any date during the campaign period (Oct – Dec) that works best for your school timetable. 

How long does the event need to last?
That’s entirely up to you. Many schools choose to run the event within a PE lesson, lunch break or as part of a festive activity day. 

Where can we hold the Rudolph Run?
Anywhere that is safe and suitable for pupils. Many schools use their playground, field, sports hall or a simple route around the school grounds. 

How much sponsorship should pupils raise?
We suggest a minimum sponsorship of £2.50 per child, but schools are free to set their own fundraising target. Every pound raised helps support local patients and families. 

What do pupils receive for taking part?
Each participating child will receive a pair of Rudolph antlers to wear during the event. 

What resources will the school receive?

How do we collect donations?
We recommend schools use ParentPay where possible, with funds transferred directly to Nightingale House Hospice by BACS. Schools may also choose to collect sponsorship offline using the sponsor forms provided. 

Can cash donations be accepted?
Yes. However, in line with our cash handling policy, any cash donations must be delivered to Nightingale House Hospice by the school. Unfortunately, we are unable to collect cash from schools. 

Can we claim Gift Aid?
Yes. Sponsor forms include Gift Aid declarations. Returning completed sponsor forms allows Nightingale House Hospice to claim an additional 25% on eligible donations at no extra cost to the donor. 

Can parents and families attend?
This is entirely at the discretion of each school and should be managed in line with your normal school procedures. 

Can we take photographs?
Yes, we encourage schools to capture and celebrate their fundraising success. Please ensure all photographs comply with your school’s photography and consent policies. 

Will Nightingale House visit our school?
Where capacity allows, members of the fundraising team may attend selected schools, but schools should plan to run the event independently using the resources provided. 

How will the money raised help?
Funds raised through the Rudolph Run help Nightingale House Hospice provide specialist care and support to patients and families across our local community.
