Work experience at Nightingale House
Before you start
Prior to starting your placement at Nightingale House Hospice, you will be asked to complete an application form and provide three forms of identification to enable us to conduct a DBS check. Once this has been successfully returned, we will contact you to arrange your start date and provide an itinerary of your first day.
You may be provided with a uniform to wear for all shifts. Uniforms must not be worn outside of the hospice.
Your mentors
Prior to your placement you will be allocated a practice supervisor who will be your mentor. Your practice supervisor will be an experienced Doctor, a qualified Physiotherapist or a registered nurse who has been prepared and supported to take up their role.
You will be supervised by numerous multi-disciplinary team members during your placement, but your practice supervisor will make the overall recommendation for progression to your academic assessor.
