Wrexham Golf Club is once again set to host its much anticipated annual Golf Day in support of Nightingale House Hospice, continuing a partnership that has spanned more than three decades and raised vital funds for local hospice care.
Taking place on Wednesday 22nd July, the Wrexham Golf Day will bring together teams from across the region for a day of friendly competition and fundraising at the prestigious Wrexham Golf Club. Open to teams of four, the event will include a full day of golf, and a raffle and silent auction, with prizes including a Wrexham Lager Trophy and a dedicated Ladies Team Prize.
The longstanding relationship between Wrexham Golf Club and Nightingale House Hospice stands as a shining example of community spirit in action. For over 30 years, the club has hosted the annual event, raising more than £125,000 since 1995, with every pound helping to support the hospice’s essential services for patients and families across a wide catchment area, spanning Wrexham, Flint, Whitchurch, Bala and as far as Barmouth.
Last year’s event was a resounding success, raising an incredible £14,046, thanks to the generosity of participants, sponsors and supporters. Contributions from sponsors including Wrexham Lager and Illingworth Seddon helped make the day possible, with the winning team of Richard Derosa, Kevin Griffiths, Paul Harry and Brian Forbes taking home top honours.
