Nightingale House Hospice has officially opened the doors to its newest Nightingales charity shop in Connah’s Quay, marking another exciting step in supporting hospice care across the region.
The new store, located at Unit 6, Redhall Precinct, welcomed a steady flow of customers throughout its opening day on 7 August, with local supporters eager to browse a wide range of quality preloved goods while supporting the hospice’s vital work.
The launch was attended by Nightingale House Hospice Outpatient Lead Abbie and Patient Flow Lead Paula, whose presence highlighted the direct link between funds raised through the charity’s retail stores and the specialist care and support provided to patients and families across the local community. They were joined by Marc Jones MS, as well as staff, volunteers and customers, in celebrating the occasion.
In preparation for the opening, a dedicated team of staff and volunteers worked tirelessly behind the scenes to create a welcoming and vibrant store environment. The shop offers an extensive selection of preloved items, including clothing, accessories, toys, games and bric-a-brac.

The new Connah’s Quay store provides local residents with a convenient place to shop sustainably, donate quality unwanted items and support the hospice. Situated within a busy shopping parade with free parking, the store is already proving popular with the local community.
