The highly anticipated Ellesmere National Art Exhibition is set to return this May in partnership with Nightingale House Hospice, offering visitors the opportunity to experience and purchase an inspiring collection of original artwork in a unique setting.

Taking place in the historic Big School Hall at Ellesmere College, nestled in the Shropshire countryside, the exhibition opens with an exclusive, invitation-only preview evening on Wednesday 27th May, before welcoming the public from Thursday 28th to Saturday 30th May.

Renowned for its quality and variety, this year’s exhibition will feature an impressive mix of emerging and established professional artists, including Graham Cox RCA and Barbara Goolden.

With a wide range of mediums on display, from watercolours and oils to sculpture and mixed media, the exhibition offers something for every taste. Visitors can explore an eclectic collection of styles including still life, portraiture, landscape and more abstract work, making it an accessible and enjoyable experience for both seasoned collectors and first-time buyers.

This year’s exhibition will be headlined by acclaimed artist Stephanie Eufemia, who gained national recognition following her appearance on Landscape Artist of the Year. Known for her contemporary landscape practice, Stephanie’s work explores light, atmosphere and a strong sense of place, informed by close observation of the natural environment.

Speaking ahead of the exhibition, Stephanie said:
“I’m delighted to be part of this year’s Ellesmere Art Exhibition, particularly in such a beautiful local setting.

“My work is rooted in observing the shifting light and atmosphere of the landscape, and exhibitions like this create a space for people to slow down and connect with those moments.

“It’s especially meaningful to be involved in an event that also supports the vital work of Nightingale House Hospice.”

More than an art exhibition, the event plays an important role in supporting the work of Nightingale House Hospice, helping to raise vital funds and awareness for specialist palliative and end-of-life care services across the region.

Liv Beckett, Director of Communications and Events at Nightingale House Hospice, said:
“We’re delighted to be partnering with Ellesmere College to support this much-loved exhibition.

“As well as celebrating outstanding artwork, it helps shine a light on hospice care in our region and raises vital funds that directly support local patients and families.

“We would encourage everyone to come along, explore the exhibition, and support this fantastic event.”
