Oswestry Balloon Carnival is set to take flight once again.
Bringing a weekend of colour, entertainment and family friendly fun back to the heart of the town. Organised in association with Nightingale House Hospice, Oswestry Town Council and Oswestry BID, this annual event has become a firm fixture in Oswestry’s calendar, attracting visitors from across the region while raising vital funds for hospice care.

What to Expect
Across the weekend, visitors will be able to enjoy the spectacle of hot air balloons taking to the skies, weather permitting, alongside live entertainment, local performances, interactive activities and a wide range of food and craft stalls. The event is free to attend, with visitors encouraged to make a voluntary donation to support the essential services provided by Nightingale House Hospice.

We do not offer any balloon flights.
​Is the event pet friendly?
Yes, pets are welcome, but please make sure your furry friends are kept on a lead at all times in the park. Please also be mindful when balloon activity is happening in the arena, as the noise from the burners can upset some dogs.
Will there be balloon activity on the day?
Balloon activity is weather dependent on the day, and we cannot take direction requests because the balloons travel with the wind. There will be live updates on social media throughout the day.
​What happens if the park reaches capacity?
To meet health and safety requirements, if the park reaches capacity, the organisers will operate a strict one out, one in system for entry to the event. We appreciate your patience and understanding if this happens.
Who will be helping at the event?
Our team on the day are all volunteers, make sure you say hey!
​Is there a quiet area available during the event?
Yes, if you need some quiet time during the event, please use the Rose Garden area behind the tennis courts.
Will there be a Park and Ride service?
Yes, Park and Ride will be running on the Saturday of the event.
​Is the park accessible?
Yes, the park is fully accessible. If you require any support getting to the park, please speak to our volunteers on the day.
Will there be any security measures in place at the event?
Yes. Your safety matters, additional security measures such as bag searches and screening will be in operation at this year’s event.
