Well, I finally finished walking at just before 4pm on Saturday 19th August at Nightingale House in Wrexham.
90 days, 1194 mile and 2,881,279 steps after I set off from the same location.
It has been a fantastic experience and I’ve seen some beautiful places, met some fabulous people and stored some incredible memories.
Thank you all for your support and encouragement during the last 3 months. I don’t think I could have finished if I hadn’t always had the knowledge in the back of my mind that so many people had donated their trust and money, believing in me.
A week after finishing it all feels like a dream but I will catalogue my photos and review my Facebook blog and I know the memories will come flooding back.
I am aware that I have been incredibly privileged to be able to take the time out to complete this type of challenge and, if any of you are thinking of doing something similar, then I’d say go for it, you only live once – it is a life-changing experience that will shape my future and, even though on some days it hurt lots, I don’t regret a single day. I am a different, hopefully better, person for having done this walk.
I am delighted to say that to date my fundraising total is a whopping £9436.81 (£8005.06 before gift aid)!!!!!!!
So thank you all again
With much love Jo x
