Our team of pastoral carers works in the hospice to provide help and support to patients, visitors, staff and volunteers.
- We help by providing a listening ear and a supportive voice.
- We can also help to arrange for your religious needs to be met.
- If you think we can help, or you would just like a chat, please contact us.
The Quite Space / Chapel
This is located in the main building of the Hospice. It is always open for quiet prayer and reflection and offers a safe space for all.
There are candles which may be lit, a book for your thoughts, prayer cards which may be left for the team and a selection of books and leaflets which you may borrow.
Our office is situated behind the main reception desk in the hospice and our extension number is 234.
A member of our team is in the hospice most weekdays and will come and introduce ourselves to patients on the ward in the days after admission, unless requested not to.
We often spend time with patients in Day Care and are generally available to all.
In cases of urgent need or an emergency, a member of staff can contact a member of the team at any time.
We will happily organise visits from a patient’s own minister, regardless of denomination or faith, on request.
Staff, volunteers and visitors are also welcome to contact a member of the team if they wish to.
