Schools, colleges and workplaces raise over £25,000 for Nightingale House Hospice with Rudolph Run
Fundraisers from 26 schools, playgroups, nurseries, colleges, and workplaces have raised more than £25,000 for a local charity.
Over the festive period, fundraisers put on their reindeer antlers and took part in Nightingale House Hospice’s Rudolph Run.
Running, walking, and toddling, all the participants took part in the Christmas activity raised a phenomenal amount of money for patient care and services at Nightingale House Hospice, which sees patients from across Wrexham, Flintshire, and East Denbighshire to Barmouth and the border towns including Oswestry and Whitchurch.
Marketing Manager at Excell Supply, Gavyn Edwards, said: “The annual Rudolph Run is a great opportunity each year for our school communities to come together for a fun day that raises much-needed funds for Nightingale House requirements and services.
“We are humbled every year to be asked to sponsor these incredible events, in order to support the patients and families in and out of the hospice.
“To be able to offer a helping hand to the hospice and its patients and families through the light-heartedness of children and their Christmas cheer really shows us how amazing the local communities are!”
Some people who took part put their own spin on the Rudolph Run event like Rhosddu Primary School who created a festive-themed assault course for their event.
Vicky Cole, Community Fundraiser at Nightingale House, said: “It’s been wonderful seeing so many people take part in the Rudolph Run this year!
“Everyone has had so much fun whilst helping raise money for patient care and services at Nightingale House.
“Everyone at Nightingale House appreciates all the hard work that has gone into organising all the Rudolph Run events, making it such a success!”
