Grin and wear it!

That’s the message from volunteers at Wrexham’s Nightingale House Hospice as they count down the days to their Midnight Walk event.

One of the most popular dates in the hospice’s fundraising calendar, the Midnight Walk is set to have a little of an 80’s twist this year with themed goodies on offer to walkers who sign up.

A whole range of glow-in-the-dark merchandise will help the midnight movers stand out from their heads to their toes. And even TEETH get in on the action as a new video launched by the hospice shows.

Amanda Kinsey, the hospice’s Area Fundraiser/ Event Organiser, said:

“The Midnight Walk helps to raise money to support the hospice and all the people who use our services. It’s one of our stand-out events and this year we wanted to make the walkers themselves stand out from the crowd.

“We’ve got a whole range of themed merchandise including cowboy hats, shoelaces, earrings, fishnet gloves, rings, glow sticks, glasses, Mohicans, wigs, and glowing gnashers to help walkers get in the groove.

“But we expect the stock to be really popular so we’re holding a special evening where people can come along and get their goodies ahead of the walk.”

The Midnight Walk apparel will be on advance sale on June 1 between 5pm and 7pm at the hospice’s Caffi Cwtch.
The Midnight Walk will be held on Saturday June 16th with 6k and 10k walks at Wrexham’s Llwyn Isaf. Normally a ladies-only night, this year the event is open to everyone from aged 8.
