Golfers urged to get in the swing for Nightingale House

Nightingale House is once again encouraging golfers from across North Wales to show a drive for a good cause at the Wrexham Golf Day 2017.

The charity is looking for teams of four to tee off on Wednesday 19th July at Wrexham Golf Club, one of the most prestigious courses in North Wales.

With its unique character and refurbished clubhouse, the course designed by five times Open Champion James Braid is a tough but rewarding challenge, renowned for its quick greens.

Teams will take on the fairways through 18 holes, stableford with the best two scores to count on each hole. There will be challenges and prizes along the way, including nearest to the pin, followed by a complementary meal in the Clubhouse restaurant.

Debbie Barton, Area Fundraiser at Nightingale House said: “The Wrexham Golf Day has been one of our most popular fundraisers for more than 20 years now and we hope that golfers will be keen to play the course once again.

“Every single penny we raise goes back into providing services for individuals with life-limiting illnesses throughout North Wales, so by taking part in the golf day, people will be making a major contribution to our vital work.

“We are very grateful to Wrexham Golf Club for continuing to host this event and for all the support given by club officials, staff and members and all participating golfers in helping us raise funds.

Last year’s event raised over £5,000 and we are hoping this year’s event will be just as successful, perhaps even more so.”

Entries for the Wrexham Golf Day 2017are £90 per team for Wrexham golf club members or £120 for non members with sponsorship opportunities offered from £25 a hole. Tee times are available from 8.30am to 4.30pm
