Education

The education department at the hospice focuses on sharing information and palliative care expertise through access to a variety of education and training opportunities.

Sessions are delivered by members of the hospice clinical team and our partners to a variety of audiences including to members of the public through the national ‘Dying Matters’ Campaign; to health and social care students and to experienced professionals accessing face to face study sessions to maintain professional practice or accessing education and peer support remotely through the ECHO education networks.

Sessions include:

  • Meeting your Mandatory Training Requirements
  • Palliative Care Course – Theory and Practice
  • ECHO – Case based peer learning networks
  • Dying Matters – public information and education campaign

As Head of Hospice Governance and Education my team members work across all areas and departments of the hospice, considering our hospice IT needs, how we manage our governance, our information and regulatory compliance and continue to innovate to meet changing education needs
