Children invited to become Easter eggsplorers with Caffi Cwtch

Junior chocoholics are being invited to become detectives for the day in the Great Big Easter Extravaganza on Wednesday 12th April.

Organised by Caffi Cwtch, the hunt will be kicked off by the Easter Bunny before kids scramble to find special treats carefully hidden in the grounds of Nightingale House Hospice.

Caffi Cwtch, which opened in September 2016, aims to be a revenue raiser for Nightingale House and combines a ‘boutique coffee’ shop concept with the familiarity of home comforts.

At the Great Big Easter Extravaganza, Children will be challenged to find the hidden clues and follow the trails to discover distinctive vouchers that can be redeemed for chocolate eggs. Entry is free with the purchase of a ‘tiny tea’ from Caffi Cwtch meaning families can also spend some quality time together after the hunt in the café itself.

Peter Jackson, head chef at Caffi Cwtch, encouraged people to take on the ‘eggstravaganza,’ he said: “Easter is all about bringing people together and as a community cafe, we couldn’t resist the chance to put on such a fun event.

“Since opening last September, Caffi Cwtch has prided itself on making milestones such as Christmas and Mothers Day extra special and now we want to turn our attention to Easter. If you’re looking for a fun, action-packed afternoon out for the whole family you don’t need to look any further than the Caffi Cwtch Great Big Easter extravaganza. We encourage everyone to hop along to Chester Road and get involved! It promises to be a cracking day and we hope, the first of many eggcellent hunts year after year.”

The Caffi Cwtch Great Big Easter Extravaganza will take place from 2pm to 4pm on Wednesday 12th April. To take part, visitors must purchase a ‘tiny tea’ for £3.95 featuring a selection of tea, coffee as well as homemade scones, jam and cream.

To celebrate the spirit of Easter the cafe will also be making  Simnel cake.

All children will receive a delicious chocolate egg at the end of the hunt, and every single purchase of tiny tea will help support the care of terminally ill people throughout North East Wales.
