A Christmas coffee date
As the nights start drawing in and everything seems to be getting that little bit colder, I am reminded of the calm before that annual festive storm especially with only, (no I am not going to say it) ………………weeks before …………………. I will just let you work it out.
I always get a bit of the Christmas doldrums because it always feels over before it’s even started. Naturally, this year, I have decided to change that by taking advantage of all the festive goings on in and around Wrexham.
The first event that has caught my eye is the Christmas Coffee Morning on the 21st and 22nd October.
Yes, I know it seems a trifle early but this event held at Nightingale House on Chester Road seems like a great chance to get ahead with my Christmas shopping.
The Hospice will open its doors between 10am and 2pm and personally, I can’t wait to sample their homemade mince pies and fair-trade coffee.
I am also told that the Hospice plans to transform their lounge and conservatory into a festive wonderland, where you can purchase their range of charity cards, gifts and so much more.
Like most of the Wrexham community, I am more than a little proud of our local Hospice and I am relishing the chance to get Christmas all wrapped up while supporting their vital work.
If you can’t make it to their Christmas Coffee Morning, fear not! You can still get into the festive spirit by popping into Nightingale House’s reception where you can browse their range of cards and gifts at your leisure.
