Ladies! Please help us turn Wrexham pink at our Ladies Midnight Walk on June 17th 2017. Come along and join Wrexham’s biggest girl’s night out and raise money for your local Hospice.
Our annual Ladies Midnight Walk sees hundreds of women step out on the streets and light up the night in memory of a loved one, to have a great time, or to simply get involved. So whether it’s a 3.5 or 6 mile walk, every step you take with us will make a difference to local people suffering life limiting illnesses.
Starting from Llwyn Isaf, the event sees females take on either a 3.5 or 6 mile walk while turning the streets of Wrexham into a sea of pink. The route will be fully marshaled and if raising money for the Hospice wasn’t enough of an incentive, ladies taking part will also receive a special Midnight Walk souvenir t-shirt and be welcomed back to the finish with a sweet treat!
Walkers, many of whom will be adorned in glowing bunny ears and glitter, will be spurred on by an array of entertainment and Team Nightingale encouragement along the way.
Due to high interest in our Ladies Midnight Walk we have extended this year’s registration date to the 14th June (5pm). All registrations must be in by this date to register for £15. You can register on the night but the cost will be a little higher at £30, please come along to the new registrations desk at Llwyn Isaf (The Guildhall) between 8pm – 9.30.
Come along and join the fun and help raise valuable funds for the Hospice! If you are unable to walk but would love to be involved we are always grateful for any volunteers to help us on the night either with registration or marshaling.
Amanda Kinsey, fundraiser at Nightingale House, said: “We are thrilled that registration for this year’s Ladies Midnight Walk is in full swing. The walk is now in its eleventh year and it always has a buzzing atmosphere. We are already pulling out all the stops to make sure it is a fantastic event for everyone who walks or volunteers.”
“We want this year’s Ladies Midnight Walk to be bigger and better than ever before and would love to see you, your friends and your family all taking part.”
Whilst the walk is open to all ladies aged 8 years and over, men can also help the charity by marshalling at the event.
Registration forms are available from Hospice shops in Wrexham, Flint, Shotton, Mold, Buckley and Whitchurch, or ladies sign up online here.
