  • Charity Shop Supervisor

    CHARITY SHOP SUPERVISOR
    OSWESTRY, SHROPSHIRE
    2 days per week 16 hours but hours may increase in the future
    £7.88 per hour

    We are looking for a Shop Supervisor to support the Shop Manager in our new shop in Oswestry.

    Working with the Manager you will have an eye for picking out the most interesting pieces from the donations we receive and will be able to present them creatively in-store and in the windows while maintaining the highest retail standards throughout the store. You will have a flair for visual merchandising, whilst at the same time making commercial decisions which will maximise the income for the hospice.

    This post is part time and fully flexible. You will be expected to work additional hours on occasions to cover for holidays. Weekend working, on a rota basis, is required and you will also have to provide cover in the Store Manager’s absence and cover other stores in the local area.

  • Part Time Sales Assistant

    REUSE SHOP
    PART TIME SALES ASSISTANT
    24 hours per week
    (3 days out of 7 on a rota basis)
    £7.88 per hour

    In partnership with FCC Environment Ltd we have recently launched an exciting new retail venture at the HWRC on Bryn Lane, Wrexham. We sell products that have been rescued from recycling centres across Wrexham.

    We are looking for someone with a passion for customer service and who has high retail standards of presentation and display who would like to join our retail team in this exciting new venture. The role will also require electrical stock to be PAT tested prior to sale and records to be maintained.

    A driving licence is essential as stock has to be collected from the satellite HWRCs and brought to the Bryn Lane site.

  • Charity Shop Manager – Flint

     

    CHARITY SHOP MANAGER – FLINT
    37.5 hours per week
    Salary £17,000 pa

    An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic and forward thinking retail team. Reporting to the Retail Development Manager this position is based in Flint, Flintshire.

    With an eye for detail and taking a hands on approach, you will need to be commercially aware, driven and well organised. You will also have the passion and leadership skills to motivate a team of volunteers in order to maximise profits and help us raise the funds we need to run the hospice.

    We are looking for someone who can deliver high standards of presentation and merchandising and who enjoys being on the shop floor and driving sales through great customer service.

    If you have a strong retail background and a passion for sales and customer service then we would love to hear from you. Candidates need a driving licence and access to a vehicle.

    Terms and Conditions of Employment

     

    Medical

    A questionnaire will be sent to the successful candidate. This must be completed and forwarded to Occupational Health. The candidate must be declared fit before commencing employment.

    Qualifications/Professional Registration

    Appointments are offered subject to the successful candidate providing evidence of professional qualification(s) and continuing professional registration.

    References

    All offers of employment are subject to the receipt of two references that are satisfactory to the Hospice.

    Contract – Notice Period    

    1 week’s notice is required, from either party, during the probationary period and 4 weeks thereafter.

    Probationary Period

    Appointments for all staff are subject to a 12 month probationary period.

    Disclosure    

    A DBS check is required for certain roles within the hospice


    Employee Benefits

     

    Pension

    The Hospice operates a pension scheme through NOW pensions who will contact you regarding the scheme and eligibility once you are in post. If you are currently in the NHS pension scheme please discuss this with HR on commencement.

    Life Insurance Cover

    Death in Service Life Insurance Cover equivalent to two times basic salary for all eligible staff who are not covered by the NHS Superannuation Scheme.

    Holidays

    Holiday entitlement is 25 days per year plus 8 Bank Holidays for full time staff, (pro rata for part time hours). This increases to a maximum of 32 days plus Bank Holidays after 10 years service, subject to Holiday policy.

    Sick Pay

    In the first year of service – up to 5 contractual sick days then SSP.
    In the second year of service – up to 10 contractual sick days then SSP.
    After two years’ employment – up to 13 weeks full pay and 13 weeks half pay in any rolling year.
    After 5 years’ employment – up to 26 weeks full pay and 26 weeks half pay in any rolling year.
    Pro rata for part time staff. The above is subject to the sickness absence procedures being followed.

    Bank Holiday           

    A £25.00 additional payment is made when working whole or part of BH.
    Holidays This payment is only for staff who are required to work on the Bank Holiday e.g. Inpatients, Kitchen, Housekeeping.

    Staff Dining Room

    Excellent catering facilities which offer hot meals, snacks and sandwiches at lunch time.
