  • Charity Shop Manager

    CHARITY SHOP MANAGER – OSWESTRY
    37.5 hours per week
    (5 days out of 7)
    £18,000 pa

    We are delighted to announce that we will be opening a new store in Oswestry. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and forward thinking retail team.

    With an eye for detail and taking a hands on approach, you will need to be commercially aware, target driven and well organised. You will also have the passion and leadership skills to motivate a team of volunteers in order to maximise profits and help us raise the funds we need to run the hospice.

    We are looking for someone who can deliver high standards of presentation and merchandising and who enjoys being on the shop floor and driving sales through great customer service.
    If you have a strong retail background and a passion for sales and customer service then we would love to hear from you. Candidates need a driving licence and access to a vehicle.

    • Charity Shop Cluster Manager

      CHARITY SHOP CLUSTER MANAGER
      UNIQUE CHIC WHITCHURCH & ELLESMERE
      37.5 hours per week
      Circa £16000 – £17,000 per annum (depending on experience)

      We have an exciting vacancy for a Cluster Shop Manager in our Whitchurch and Ellesmere shops. Whitchurch specialises in selling vintage items, collectables and upcycled furniture while Ellesmere specialises in clothing and bric a brac.

      You will have an eye for picking out the most interesting pieces from the donations we receive and will be able to present them creatively in-store and the windows, while maintaining the highest retail standards throughout the store. You will have a flair for visual merchandising and relish the opportunity to put your own personal stamp on the store, whilst at the same time making commercial decisions which will drive sales and maximise the income for the hospice.

      If you have a strong retail background and a passion for sales and customer service then we would love to hear from you. Candidates need a full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

      • Charity Shop Supervisor

        CHARITY SHOP SUPERVISOR
        OSWESTRY, SHROPSHIRE
        2 days per week 14 hours but hours may increase in the future
        £7.88 per hour

        We are looking for a Shop Supervisor to support the Shop Manager in our new shop in Oswestry.

      • Marketing and Communications Manager

        MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
        37 HOURS PER WEEK
        SALARY £21,000 TO £25,000 Depending on Experience

        Bored of the regular 9-5 job and after something a little more exciting? Then the role of Marketing Manager to Nightingale House Hospice may be the role for you.

        We are seeking an imaginative, creative and commercially astute Marketing person to support the marketing of all aspects of the hospice and it subsidiary companies. The successful candidate will have to demonstrate good traditional creative copy writing blended with skill and knowledge of writing for and managing digital media.

        This newly created position reporting to the Director of Income Generation and the CEO will have the responsibility for developing all marketing ideas to support the income generation team in maximising income as well as promoting the charity to both the community it serves and businesses using a wide range of communication tools with emphasis on digital marketing.

      • Lottery Canvassers

        DOOR TO DOOR LOTTERY CANVASSERS
        SELF EMPLOYED – COMMISSION BASED
        WREXHAM/NORTH EAST WALES

        We are looking for confident, friendly and passionate people to join our new Door to Door Lottery Canvassing team to promote our successful lottery in North East Wales and the Border areas.

        Our role very much suits ex door to door and venue professionals from both the utilities and fundraising backgrounds as well as face to face experienced sales staff.

        You will need to impress us with your excellent communication and interpersonal skills. We also expect that you will be able to demonstrate that you are hardworking, motivated and results driven.

        The position will appeal to a self-employed person who has door to door sales experience and the ability to achieve new business. You will be a self motivated individual who can be flexible on your working hours to suit the needs of the business. You will be target driven and a proven achiever.

        Terms and Conditions of Employment

         

        Medical

        A questionnaire will be sent to the successful candidate. This must be completed and forwarded to Occupational Health. The candidate must be declared fit before commencing employment.

        Qualifications/Professional Registration

        Appointments are offered subject to the successful candidate providing evidence of professional qualification(s) and continuing professional registration.

        References

        All offers of employment are subject to the receipt of two references that are satisfactory to the Hospice.

        Contract – Notice Period    

        1 week’s notice is required, from either party, during the probationary period and 4 weeks thereafter.

        Probationary Period

        Appointments for all staff are subject to a 12 month probationary period.

        Disclosure    

        A DBS check is required for certain roles within the hospice


        Employee Benefits

         

        Pension

        The Hospice operates a pension scheme through NOW pensions who will contact you regarding the scheme and eligibility once you are in post. If you are currently in the NHS pension scheme please discuss this with HR on commencement.

        Life Insurance Cover

        Death in Service Life Insurance Cover equivalent to two times basic salary for all eligible staff who are not covered by the NHS Superannuation Scheme.

        Holidays

        Holiday entitlement is 25 days per year plus 8 Bank Holidays for full time staff, (pro rata for part time hours). This increases to a maximum of 32 days plus Bank Holidays after 10 years service, subject to Holiday policy.

        Sick Pay

        In the first year of service – up to 5 contractual sick days then SSP.
        In the second year of service – up to 10 contractual sick days then SSP.
        After two years’ employment – up to 13 weeks full pay and 13 weeks half pay in any rolling year.
        After 5 years’ employment – up to 26 weeks full pay and 26 weeks half pay in any rolling year.
        Pro rata for part time staff. The above is subject to the sickness absence procedures being followed.

        Bank Holiday           

        A £25.00 additional payment is made when working whole or part of BH.
        Holidays This payment is only for staff who are required to work on the Bank Holiday e.g. Inpatients, Kitchen, Housekeeping.

        Staff Dining Room

        Excellent catering facilities which offer hot meals, snacks and sandwiches at lunch time.
