Hours are worked 2 x 9.00 am to 4.00 pm and 1 x 9.00 am to 4.30 pm days
Tuesday – Thursday
WTE Salary £21,573 (for 37.5hrs): £12,081 pa for 20 hours per week

We now have a vacancy for a Registered General Nurse who wishes to develop a career in Specialist Palliative Care. You will be joining a team who are passionate about caring and delivering high quality care. There is a comprehensive induction with individual mentor and opportunities for professional development.
This post requires key skills in assessment, planning and evaluation of nursing care in a patient centred day service focusing on rehabilitation and empowerment of patients with specialist palliative care needs.
Previous experience in Palliative Care is desirable but not essential.

Nightingale House Hospice is looking for an In Memory Giving Fundraiser to develop and deliver the Hospice’s legacy and in memory giving strategy. The post holder will focus on donor development, supporter acquisition and retention.
We are ideally looking for a professional with at least two years’ experience in one or more of the following fields; fundraising, marketing, healthcare, social work, legal services or similar.
Above all, the role requires experience of relationship management combined with a caring, empathetic approach.
Ideally the successful candidate should have:-
- Experience working with bereaved relatives
- Experience working in the charity sector
- Experience working towards financial targets
- The ability to empathise and build excellent relationships
- Knowledge of legacy giving and donor journeys
- Excellent verbal, written and listening skills
- To continue to develop and implement the legacy strategy in conjunction with clinical, marketing and fundraising staff
- To be the first point of contact when people enquire about leaving a legacy and respond promptly
- To continue to develop and deliver a Will Week campaign with local solicitors to raise income
- Promote and administer in-memory giving including regularly updating and personalisation of thank you letters
- Develop a Donor Retention and In Memory Giving strategy, to maximise retention of donors and increase their giving as agreed
- Develop and administer our Tribute Fund scheme and maintain excellent relationship with donors
- Manage the annual Light Up A Life Campaign and associated events

We are looking for two full-time Supervisors to help support our Store Manager for our brand new Flagship Store opening soon in Wrexham.
The supervisors we are looking for need to have positive attitudes, be well organised, hardworking and be able to motivate and inspire their colleagues and volunteers. They must enjoy working for a fast pace business, have a passion for great customer service, a flare for merchandising and be able to make commercial decisions which will maximise the income for the hospice.
This post is full-time and fully flexible. You will be expected to work additional hours on occasions to cover for holidays. Weekend working, on a rota basis, is required and you will also have to provide cover in the Store Manager’s absence and cover other stores in the local area.
Experience of working within a large retail store or third sector is desirable however, full training will be provided.

Terms and Conditions of Employment
A questionnaire will be sent to the successful candidate. This must be completed and forwarded to Occupational Health. The candidate must be declared fit before commencing employment.
Appointments are offered subject to the successful candidate providing evidence of professional qualification(s) and continuing professional registration.
All offers of employment are subject to the receipt of two references that are satisfactory to the Hospice.
Contract – Notice Period
1 week’s notice is required, from either party, during the probationary period and 4 weeks thereafter.
Appointments for all staff are subject to a 12 month probationary period.
A DBS check is required for certain roles within the hospice
The Hospice operates a pension scheme through NOW pensions who will contact you regarding the scheme and eligibility once you are in post. If you are currently in the NHS pension scheme please discuss this with HR on commencement.
Life Insurance Cover
Death in Service Life Insurance Cover equivalent to two times basic salary for all eligible staff who are not covered by the NHS Superannuation Scheme.
Holiday entitlement is 25 days per year plus 8 Bank Holidays for full time staff, (pro rata for part time hours). This increases to a maximum of 32 days plus Bank Holidays after 10 years service, subject to Holiday policy.
In the first year of service – up to 5 contractual sick days then SSP.
In the second year of service – up to 10 contractual sick days then SSP.
After two years’ employment – up to 13 weeks full pay and 13 weeks half pay in any rolling year.
After 5 years’ employment – up to 26 weeks full pay and 26 weeks half pay in any rolling year.
Pro rata for part time staff. The above is subject to the sickness absence procedures being followed.
A £25.00 additional payment is made when working whole or part of BH.
Holidays This payment is only for staff who are required to work on the Bank Holiday e.g. Inpatients, Kitchen, Housekeeping.
