Daisy donates Birthday money to Hospice

Daisy Sampson celebrated her 6th Birthday with her dog, Molly, by attending Nightingale House Hospice’s Halloween Woof and Wellies Charity Dog Walk on Sunday 30th October in Alyn Waters Country Park in Wrexham.  Daisy raised more than £250 which included gift aid, by asking friends and family for sponsorship money instead of birthday presents.

The charity walk was a great success with more than 300 owners and 170 dogs taking part and helping to raise over £4,000 towards the specialist palliative care services provided at the Hospice.

“I would like to say a special thanks to our fabulous supporter Daisy for donating her birthday money to the Hospice, it is such a lovely gesture and we really appreciate it.  Thank you also to all our supporters, sponsors, volunteers and dogs who took part and helped make it the great success it was.  The money raised by Daisy and all of the other walkers will play a crucial part in funding the care at the Hospice.” said Laura Parry, community fundraiser of Nightingale House.
