Walking Diary
Walking is one of the most popular ways in Britain to keep fit. It’s recommended that people walk for half an hour three times a week for general health and well being.
Whilst the Hospice organises a number of walking events such as the Drag Walk and the Ladies Midnight Walk, there are several other ways you can raise money by putting on your walking boots and going off track.
Arrange your own event, such as climbing Moel Famau, Snowdon, or walking from Wrexham to Chester or other route.
Consider taking part in a combined event, such as the 3 peaks challenge (see Trekkers Diary).
The great thing about these walking events is that they are non date specific. Pick a date that is suitable for your walking group and arrange it yourself.
We can provide you with t-shirts and sponsor forms. Contact Eleri Wyn Smith on 01978 314292 or email

Trekkers Diary
There are all sorts of adventures waiting to be found in the UK and abroad, many of which are organised by a third party company to ensure your optimum safety.
There is the Three Peaks Challenge in Britain or a number of overseas challenges that might tempt you, such as climbing Mount Kilimanjaro or trekking the Great Wall of China, and lots more.

Jump
Ever see yourself jumping out of a plane? You wouldn’t believe the amount of people who receive a ‘skydive’ as a birthday gift or landmark occasion.
To help overcome your fears, why not do a skydive for Nightingale House Hospice? With all of the support from your sponsors you will be more likely to take on the challenge and ensure the experience of a lifetime.
Local diving fields are in Tilston and Whitchurch.
